Taxi Girls - Rainy 7"
Montreal punk quartet TAXI GIRLS latest single "Rainy" began as a true collaborative effort from the group with the original theme revolving around a narrative of taking pills but eventually evolved into a story about an abusive ex-friend who treated the group poorly.... someone that they've got dirt on and are saving that dirt for a rainy day!
The b-side of this fresh TAXI GIRLS 7-inch features "The Lion's Share", a track that also transformed from its early roots as a bittersweet song about missing someone who still crosses your mind from time to time - and that, you know, probably still thinks about you too until revealing the innate perspective that this individual is taking up more mental space that they deserved. Letting go of them brings a fresh sense of freedom and even as their memory lingers, the reality is that you're better off now than you ever were before.
